How do I get a mailbox?

Homeowners that are interested in a mailbox should contact  HOA management at: islandlakemurray@gmail.com to receive a mailbox request form.  There is a one-time fee of $300 to cover the cost of the mailbox. 

Can I take guests to the Clubhouse?

Yes. However, ALL GUESTS must be accompanied by the owner. Owners are known to be those that are listed on the deed to the lot. Family members/adult children, NOT listed on the deed are NOT considered owners and MUST be accompanied by the OWNER. Any guests found to be unaccompanied by the homeowner, may result in suspension of clubhouse privileges and fine of up to $500. 

Is a garden allowed on my lot?

Yes, however there are restrictions. Gardens can be no larger than 100 sq. ft; must not be visible from the street; must be placed in an inconspicuous location such as the area of wing wall; must be contained within plantar boxes or containers; must keep with the harmonious aesthetics of the neighborhood; must NOT include a fence; must be maintained for aesthetic appearance.  

What are the rules about boats on the private lakes?

No motorized boats or watercraft shall be allowed within the private lakes or ponds except those with low-power electric motors that create no wake and that can go no more than five miles per hour, and the use of such watercraft shall require the prior written consent of the Declarant. Kayaks, row boats, pedal boats etc. are approved for all lakes.

Where can I dispose of my grass clippings?

All grass on the lake side of home starting at the back line of the house to the beach must be bagged. Grass clippings can be taken to the Town of Germantown Brush Dump, located behind the building at N7645 17th Ave. 

DO NOT dump grass clippings in the ditches, berms, cul du sac's or any other HOA property. Anyone caught illegally dumping will be charged with trespassing.

Can I plant/remove trees from my property?

Planting or removal of trees, other than removal of deciduous trees, needs HOA approval. Deciduous (leafy) trees are not allowed. Any changes to footprint of landscaping needs HOA approval. 

Any lot that resides along the Castle Rock Lake shoreline needs permission from WRPCO (Wisconsin River Power Company) for removal of any vegetation within 100 feet of shoreline. Find more information on the WRPCO Shoreline page of this website or go to:  Wisconsin River Power Company
